Scottsdale resident and “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz is on the move.
The former child actor has put his Scottsdale home on the market for a reported $2.89 million, according to Zillow.
Located in the luxury Estancia golf community, the stone-stucco home features five bedrooms, seven baths, three waterfalls, a veranda overlooking the pool area and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and desert landscape.
Soaring ceilings highlight the home’s plush interior, which also feature fireplaces in the great room, family room and master suite. There is also a large home theater, wet bar and three guest suites that open onto the property’s grounds.
Monica Monson and Barry Van Patten of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International are the listing agents.
In January, Muniz sold a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta used in “The Fast and the Furious” at the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale for $46,200. The four-cylinder automatic boasts a custom stereo that incorporates a PlayStation 2 inside the car. The Jetta’s exterior also features the signature of late “Fast and the Furious” actor Paul Walker.
Muniz rose to fame playing brainy teenager Malcolm on the Emmy Award-winning sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle,” which ran for seven seasons on the Fox network. Once considered “one of Hollywood’s most bankable teens,” Muniz, now 30, put his acting career on hold in 2008 to pursue his passion for race car driving.
He also plays drums and has performed with a number of rock bands in recent years. Muniz appeared in the third installment of SyFy’s campy horror hit “Sharknado” in 2015.
