A large sign at the entrance to Hotel Adeline proclaims, “WTF,” meaning, “Where’s The Fun?” Hotel Adeline is as much of a boutique hotel as it is a sassy persona. Hotel Adeline or “Addy” as some people call it is situated on Scottsdale Road, just north of Chaparral Road. The 213-room property is located just a stone’s throw north of Scottsdale Fashion Square and Camelback Mountain can also be seen from the property. The conveniently located hotel is the perfect size – not too small, not too big and offers sweet and thoughtful indulgences at every turn.
Rooms and suites are spacious and comfortably appointed. The tasteful and sophisticated modern style includes urban twists punctuated with beautiful wood accents and pops of turquoise. Guests will appreciate the cold A/C and the black-out pull down shade. All the conveniences of home are there, too – coffeemaker, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, super fluffy towels and quality toiletries with fun sayings on the bottles. The Old Town Scottsdale boutique hotel also offers in-room dining in case you don’t feel like heading downstairs for breakfast, lunch or dinner. When you discover just how comfortable the beds and pillows are, you may not want to leave your room at all!
Rooms encircle Hotel Adeline’s beach entry pool that beacons guests to take the plunge, with an outside bar that will take care of your every drink desire. During Saturdays in summer the Liquid Sunshine party at Hotel Adeline is the place to see and be seen and guests 21 and over will enjoy a variety of available poolside noshes and creative cocktails. You’ll be entertained by DJs and generously appointed private cabanas are available by reservation. When weather cools down, warm your toes at the outdoor fireplace while enjoying a fireside cocktail.
If partying poolside is not your thing, there are dozens of nearby attractions to discover and Scottsdale Fashion Square, the Scottsdale Artwalk and everything in Old Town Scottsdale are easily within walking distance. Or, use one of the electric scooters housed at Hotel Adeline to explore nearby areas with ease. Other entertainment and recreation options include biking, hiking, golfing, visiting nearby casinos, Spring Training games, OdySea in the Desert and a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife hot spots.
Dining at Hotel Adeline
When your’e ready to eat, Addy has a delicious variety of dining choices. Good & Proper is a casual and great way to get a hearty and healthy breakfast, lunch or grab-and-go noshes. For breakfast, don’t miss the pork shoulder ham omelet boasting three eggs, Gruyere cheese and sauteed onions with cream cheese hollandaise sauce and fresh herbs. The thick sliced bacon, and breakfast potatoes are perfect accompaniments. The locally made Noble Bread and housemade zingy apricot jam are not to be missed!
Dinner will find you at Selfmade, Hotel Adeline’s signature dining spot. The menu is focused with a Mediterranean flair. Sharable plates include harissa grilled chicken breast skewers, generously sized lamb sliders, seared crabcakes, woodfired pizzas among other yummy dishes. The firestone pita alone is worth a journey to Selfmade. The housemade pita and roasted garlic hummus topped with Mediterranean olives are the best I’ve ever had in the Valley. The sharable dish is the perfect combination of textures, flavors and includes just a little jab of heat from the roasted red pepper spread. If you would rather dine in your room, just give the desk a jingle and Addy will have your food to you in no time.
Happy hour runs 4-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and includes great deals on sharable dishes and cocktails. The most refreshing cocktail is the signature Adeline’s Hydration that includes Deep Eddy
Vodka, coconut water, lime, mint and strawberry puree. This will quench anyone’s thirst whether they’re a local on staycation or a visitor to our bustling desert oasis.
Shhh… It’s an open secret that Hotel Adeline has a not-so-secret speakeasy. Capture the password in the front lobby and then wander down the hall to the entrance. Half the fun is finding the unmarked Straight Up Whiskey Bar entrance! Once inside, you’ll find curated flights, premium and rare whiskey, specialty cocktails and an upscale and relaxing ambiance.
Whether you want some down time for yourself or a fun weekend with friends, Hotel Adeline is the perfect choice. You can relax and play in style without breaking the bank while enjoying a boutique Scottsdale hotel that is close to all the excitement in Scottsdale and the surrounding Valley of the Sun. Hotel Adeline is located at 5101 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale. For more information visit www.HotelAdeline.com.
