Foto Friday

From monsoons and the moon to a new Phoenix concert venue and Cardinals training, you don’t want to miss these jaw-dropping photos.

It’s Friday!

Time to jump for joy … and possibly take a hike.

Those who don't jump will never fly. | Leena Almas . . . . . #BeOn12 #azCentral #abc15 #Fox10Phoenix

“Tut, tut. It looks like rain!”

Sorry, Christopher Robin. There’s no way a floating bear searching for honey comes close to this rain cloud.

The color of love

Love birds might be native to Africa, but we’re glad these gorgeous birds found their way here.

A different kind of bird

Yes, these Cardinals are flying. They’re also in the middle of training camp, and you can watch for free.

Levitate, levitate, levitate, levitate. #P2Tuesdays

The Van Buren

The hottest new concert venue in Phoenix will open next month. Here’s a sneak peek.

Monsoon 2: Electric Boogaloo

Sick of monsoon photos yet? Neither are we.

So…much…green

Remind us again why we live in the desert part of the state?

Stunning sunset

Will we ever get tired of Arizona sunsets? Looking at this photo that’s clearly a rhetorical question.

That’s why they call it the ‘light rail’

Do we live in a science fiction film and aren’t aware of it? Also, check out that reflection.

I switched from Canon to the rig I have now (Sony A7R2) about a year and a half ago, and haven't looked back. I was looking for a sensor with amazing dynamic range and I saw mirrorless as the future of digital cameras. The biggest criticism of Sony is that they're a hardware technology company, not a camera company. Sometimes the engineers stumble, but they're always pushing the innovation forward and they do listen to their customers. Overall, I think the company is pushing Canon and Nikon to step up their game, which is better for everyone. @sonyimages @aroundq #sonyimages #sonyimages100k /// . . . . . . #moodygrams #agameoftones #explorearizona #livefolk #fatalframes #igersphx #createcommune #heatercentral #instagramaz #theimaged #illgrammers #exploretocreate #artofvisuals #way2ill #instagramaz_water #liveauthentic #westcoast_exposures #earthfocus #earthpix #live2folk #usaprimeshot #watchthisinstagood #igsouthwest #eclecticshotz #shotzdelight #arizonacollective #lifeofadventure #jaw_dropping_shots

Moonstruck

Arizonans make a big deal about the sun — we do call this the “Valley of the Sun” after all — but we’d be OK changing that to the Valley of the Moon after this photo.

Tuesday July 25, 2017: Version 2 (see previous post) of tonight’s 10% Waxing Crescent moon setting over Black Mountain, Carefree, Arizona, exposed at -5EV to get the detail on the moon surface–but this means the foreground Saguaro cactuses are hard to distinguish from the dark sky, and the “dark side” of the moon is not visible. Canon EOS 5DS R, Canon EF200-400mm with built-in 1.4X tele-extender plus external 1.4x tele-extender at 568mm (my mistake), ISO 1600, 1/200th sec at f/8.0, -5EV. #instagramaz #az365 #see_arizona #visit_arizona #arizonahiking #hikeaz #hikearizona #igsouthwest #arizonacollective #arizona_landscapes #explorearizona #canon #exploreaz #beon12 #cbs5az #abc15arizona #fox10phoenix #insta_america_arizona #landscape #naturalarizona #arizonahighways #waycoolshots #azcentral #canon_photos #TeamCanon #moon #moonset
