The Arizona Barbecue Festival

The Arizona Barbecue Festival

Every year, between 40 and 60 BBQ teams compete at The Arizona Barbecue Festival. The event is filled with food, fun and plenty of competition. Pit Row, the highlight of the Arizona Barbecue Festival, is where the cooking teams will be grilling, smoking and braising in their best effort to be named the champion in their BBQ category.

A portion of the Arizona Barbecue Festival proceeds will benefit The Anne Rita Monahan Foundation ARM Yourself Against Ovarian Cancer.

The Arizona Barbecue Festival is typically held in the Spring during the month of March and is a one-day event. Hours typically run 10 am to 5 pm.

The Festival is held at the Scottsdale Waterfront.

It is $10 to be admitted into the Festival; children under 12 are admitted free. There is additional charge for BBQ samples, other food and beverages.

Admission tickets may be purchased at the gate or in advance online at the event’s website. Taxes and additional fees apply when purchasing online. Tickets for barbecue samples will be sold at the event.

Besides all of the BBQing going on, there will be live entertainment with a stage of local bands. Cooking demonstrations, vendors and a Kid’s Zone will also be available. Whiskey Row is also a favorite spot during the event. Whiskey Row features 30+ different brands and varieties of Whiskey and Bourbon for guests to sample. Entry to Whiskey Row costs $10 and allows for 10 samples inside the tent. There is also a Daisy Duke Beauty Pageant.

There will be a VIP tent with open bar, open buffet and other special features. VIP tickets are $100 each, plus fees.
