Home to the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers arena football team, Talking Stick Resort Arena also regularly hosts high-profile national band tours and other major performances.
Opened in 1992 as the America West Arena and then known as US Airways Center until 2015 when Talking Stick Resort took over, it offers seating for 18,422 people, plus 87 luxury suites and six party suites. A recent $70 million expansion added a 900-foot LED ribbon around the stadium, a center-hung scoreboard and a 7,000-square-foot family-friendly area call the Suns Gorilla Greenhouse.
An attached parking garage offers 900 spaces, and another nearby garage can hold 1,500. In other words, you want to arrive early to secure a convenient spot. You can also ride the Light Rail in. Most show tickets allows you a free ride for a few hours around the event.
