Foothills Sk8 Court Plaza, more often called Glendale Parkor Union Hills Park, is located at 57th avenue and Unions Hills Drive at Foothills Park. Glendale Park is a public, outdoor skate park for skateboarders and rollerbladers. Bicycles and scooters are prohibited. Because the city accepted community design suggestions before building, this park features several very unique obstacles.
Some of GlendalePark’s most notable features include a square rainbow rail for slappy grinds, a bank to wall for wall rides with quarter pipes on either side for transfers, and a pyramid divided lengthwise into two levels. Other fun obstacles at this park include a long flat ledge, a round pyramid rail, and a large three stair. There are two bowls in the back of the park. The deeper of the two is nine feet at its highest and four feet at its lowest, with a roll-in for speed. The shallower bowl is five feet high with a spine and plenty of corners and hips.
Glendale Park opens at 9 A.M. and closes at 10 P.M. The park is well lit during the nighttime hours. For additional information, contact the Glendale Parks & Recreation Department at (623) 930 – 2820.
