Mesa Arizona Temple

If you live in Mesa and are aware of its large Mormon population (one of the largest in the country), this entry won’t be “unexpected,” but “amazing” still fits. Completed in 1927, the Mesa Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will take your breath away with its scale and carefully maintained grounds.

Obviously, casual visitors aren’t allowed inside the temple itself. However, you can go to the visitor center for a tour of the grounds. For the Christmas season, you should drop by for Temple Lights, which see the grounds blanketed with thousands of lights, nativity scenes and features live music nightly.
