The weather didn’t like us, so we rescheduled the event from January 23 to January 30!
Celebrate Sahuaro Ranch’s historic grapefruit and orange trees and all things citrus! Enjoy citrus-themed entertainment, cooking demonstrations, baking contest, and special citrus activities, plus pick some citrus to take home! It happens Saturday, January 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area, 9802 N. 59th Ave.
Enter the Citrus Zestival Bake-Off! Entries for the bake-off will be evaluated by a panel of local guest judges and 1st -3rd place winners will receive ribbons, recognition at the event and on the Sahuaro Ranch web site. As part of the city’s year-long Centennial celebration, the event will feature a debut of the Centennial Cookbook called A “Taste of Glendale – 100 years in the Making,” which will include more than a dozen recipes from Glendale’s people and history. Cooking demonstrations will include some of the cook book recipes and cooks!
Also enjoy a Community Breakfast presented by the Glendale Ambassadors from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Get your day started with a delicious breakfast and enjoy the Citrus Zestival. $5 for adults and $3 for children.
