In the latest installment of their ongoing series celebrating the greats of jazz, the Faculty Jazz Quintet of Paradise Valley Community College will be performing the music of composer and pianist, Carla Bley. From 1955 when she first started gigging in New York to the present day she has led many prominent and successful ensembles, her most well known work focusing on large-scale forms for small combos to jazz orchestras.
