Are you ready to party with ostriches? This year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever as they look back and celebrate 30 years of bringing the community together for one of Arizona’s most beloved annual events.

You can really shake a tail feather at this Chandler festival, featuring fair rides, games, live music and ostriches! Your favorite feathered friends are the highlight at this celebration, which will also feature performances by Kool and the Gang, John Michael Montgomery and The Beach Boys.

The 65th Annual Rodeo Scottsdale

March 8-March 11

The 65th Annual Rodeo Scottsdale is back for more action-packed shows! Formally known as Parada del Sol Rodeo, Rodeo Scottsdale is back for its 65th year and features thrilling performances as well as a Pro Bull Riding Show.

Thursday through Saturday after the rodeo, enjoy live music and dancing with acts including Luke Kaufman and Kianna Martinez.

Cirque du Soleil Crystal

Sonoran Festival of Art Extravaganza & Community Resource Expo

March 9-March 11

This three-day arts extravaganza will offer a diverse selection of juried artists exhibiting and selling their paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, photography and mixed media creations.

Coordinated by the non-profit Sonoran Arts League, the free event will feature art workshops and demonstrations, culinary arts demonstrations and performances. The festival will also include a community resource expo featuring area non-profits, businesses, health, public safety and other educational information, and a youth art “For Art Stuff” garage sale fundraiser.

TicketGuardian 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series

March 9-March 11

Don’t miss your opportunity to experience NASCAR Goes West with champions Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch, taking on young guns like Kyle Larson and Chase Elliot on the track. Other related events include the Gatorade Pole Day with practice sessions for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series (March 9), and DC Solar 200, featuring up-and-coming NASCAR drivers (March 10). Dancing with the Stars finalist Jana Kramer performs before the race on March 11.

Arizona Aloha Festival

March 10-March 11

This annual Arizona festival can’t fly you out to Honolulu…but it can get you pretty close! This two-day event is packed with authentic Hawaiian performances, hula dancing, a Hawaiian marketplace and enough teriyaki to shake a pineapple at.

Take a free ukulele lesson and learn to play on their ‘loaner’ ukulele. Their volunteers will help you learn a few chords and how to strum. Create a paper flower lei, stamp a postcard with Polynesian designs, or make your own mini poi ball. You can also learn to play Chongka, a game popular in Guam and Saipan. Learn about the Hawaiin Goddesses of Fire and Ice, the lethal technology of ancient Hawaiian weapons and how to play a gourd drum. Or learn how to string a lei or to dance a hula.

Downtown Mesa Brewfest

This annual family and dog-friendly event will be filled with local Arizona breweries and eateries, live music and festival vendors. Contests, free Brewfest swag and games will be offered throughout the day. Beer tickets are available for purchase at the event.

Flying Burrito Festival

Saturday, March 10

This music and food festival includes 25 bands on four stages set up along Second Avenue and Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix.

Tables will line the streets so participants can chow down while they listen to their favorite bands.

Besides music and food, attendees can expect lawn games and local arts groups like Cut+Paste and Four Chambers.
