The brainchild of former ASU President Grady Gammage, designed by world-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright and completed on September 18, 1964, ASU Gammage has built a reputation as one of the Valley’s premier performance venues.
Situated at the southwest corner of Arizona State University’s Tempe campus, the 3,000-seat auditorium boasts an adaptable stage suitable for everything from full symphony concerts to comedy shows to the traveling Broadway productions that draw theatergoers from around the Valley.
Fans of architecture should make it a point to visit, and theater lovers will want to keep track of upcoming shows.
Note that parking for the venue, while free for performances, fills up fast. Gammage recommends arriving at least 60 minutes early.
