Arizona State Executive Branch

Arizona became a state of the United States of America in February of 1912. The capitol city of Arizona is Phoenix, with is also the largest city and centrally located in the state.

The highest position in the state government is the Arizona Governor. The governor is elected to a term that is 4 years in length and can be elected an unlimited number of times as long as they never serve more than two terms in a row. The Arizona Governor is one of the few state governors that lives in their personal home while serving the state instead of a state provided mansion.

The other elected positions in the Arizona executive branch government are the Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, State Mine Inspector and the Corporation Commissioners.
